The Bay Pediatric and Adolescent Dentistry Team is second to none. Our compassion, patience and knowledge sets us apart. In addition to the three doctors, our team is comprised of licensed dental hygienists, trained dental assistants and an experienced front office staff. We have team members who are CPR certified, certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Spanish speaking and an overwhelming majority are parents. We all love coming to work each day and very much look forward to caring for your child.
Wells Hammock, DMD (“Dr. Wells”)
Dr. Wells Hammock received his Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from Auburn University and his Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Alabama School of Dentistry. He then completed a two-year residency program in Pediatric Dentistry at the Boston University School of Dental Medicine.
His pediatric dental training included management and treatment of special needs patients; conscious sedation; pediatric dental rehabilitation; hospital dentistry with children under general anesthesia; and interceptive orthodontics. During his 2-year residency, Dr. Hammock worked at the Franciscan Hospital for Children in Boston, which specializes in the treatment of medically and physically compromised patients.
Dr. Hammock is currently a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association and the Alabama Dental Association. In the past, he has served as President of the Baldwin County Dental Society. He now brings more than 8 years of experience in private practice to provide the highest quality of dental care to your child. Dr. Hammock is a native of Mobile, Alabama. He, his wife, Elizabeth, and their two sons, Bowdoin and Riggins, live in Fairhope.
Ray Hammock, Jr, DMD (“Doc”)
Dr. Ray Hammock, Jr. joined Bay Pediatric & Adolescent Dentistry in 2011.
Doc received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Alabama School of Dentistry. He then completed his residency in orthodontics at the University of Pennsylvania. Doc is currently a member of the American Dental Association and the Alabama Dental Association. He and his wife, Sandra, raised two children, Hayley and Wells, and recently moved to Fairhope to be closer to two of their four grandchildren.
To our practice, he brings his general dentistry skill set and orthodontia knowledge and more than 30 years of dental experience.
Christi Clements, DMD
Dr. Christi Clements (“Dr. Christi”) received her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Alabama School of Dentistry. She then completed a general practice residency at the University of Colorado. She is currently a member of the American Dental Association and the Alabama Dental Association.
Dr. Christi lives in Fairhope with her two sons, Jack and Cooper.
When not managing hygiene, Dr. Christi focuses on the restorative needs of our adolescent patients. To our practice, Dr. Christi brings more than 10 years of general dental experience.
